A kitten would have difficulty finding a cosy place to sleep, even if you have not provided a purpose-made bed. Favorites include in the airing cupboard, on a human bed or sofa, and under radiators.
Nevertheless, it is a good idea to provide a kitten with a bed, because it is there, during both sleeping and walking hours, that most hairs will be shed. It is undkitten bedoubtedly preferable for hairs to be cast in the cat bed than in one of the family beds.
